KAZCENT
UNITED NATIONS STAFF OFFICER
COURSE (UNSOC)
Course Description
This is a pre-deployment course, intended to train military, law enforcement and civilian personnel to work efficiently at various levels of UN HQs. Considering the crucial interfacing roles of staff officers between strategic, operational and tactical levels, they need to be proficient in performing their duties to ensure effective mandate implementation.

This course is a follow-up, building upon the previously conducted UNSOCs, seeking to address new challenges and subsequently adjusting the training goals, so that a higher number of participants may benefit from both the knowledge base and the hands-on approach of working in an international environment, as part of an existing UN mission.
Course aim

The aim of this course is to support national pre-deployment training efforts of Kazakhstan and countries of Central Asia by providing UN DPO training standards to ensure a common military approach to work at Force and Sector levels in UN peacekeeping missions.
